Over the long weekend of November 20-25th, Super Y League teams and players from all across the United States and Canada, including our very own u13 WMFJ girls team, travelled to Tampa, Florida to compete in the 10th Annual Super Y League Nationals Finals. While in Florida the players had the opportunity to participate in a variety of soccer festivities, including: street soccer, 5 v 5 futsol tourney, FIFA World Cup video game match, and a juggling competition.
Our very own Kylie Kukowski, from the ’95 WMFJ girls premier team, chose to take part in a juggling competition at the Super Y National Finals competing against other players, boys and girls, ranginig in age from u13-u17. The players were given one opportunity to juggle the ball as many times as they could before dropping it. Kylie ousted all other players with a grand total of 470 touches (her personal best is 694) and was crowned the overall juggling champion. As the contest winner Kylie was awarded an England team jersey signed by the England National team captain and Chelsea F.C. soccer star, John Terry.
I’m sure all those countless hours of juggling her basement at home have finally paid off for our young Super Star juggler! Congrats Kylie Kukowski!
