Fire Team Heads to Regional Championships
U18 Team Chosen to represent the State

The WMFJ is pleased to announce that the U18 Boys team has been chosen and accepted an invitation to be the only Michigan represent at the upcoming Midwest Regional Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, June 22-27. They will enter the tournament as a Wildcard, together with the State Cup Winners (Michigan Wolves).

L 0-1 Wisconsin

L 0-3 Nebraska (Eventual Winners)

W 4-2 South Dakota

This team has been a great team and have won many tournaments over the years. The great thing about this team is that more than 10 of the team started out with Coach Apostle at U12, some of the boys have been with him since they were 10 years old.
 
Several players have received and accepted opportunities to play in College.

Matt Niemiec, Cedarville College, Ohio
Rich Visser, Hope College
Several other players were offered the opportunity to play in College, but declined to concentrate on their College studies.
