The dream for a West Michigan based W-League team was first realized in the summer of 2004 under the West Michigan Edge.  In 2005 the West Michigan Fire Juniors, a MLS Chicago FIRE affliated youth club, purchased the franchise rights for the W-League team, and the local college and post college players took the field for a second year under the title of the West Michigan Firewomen.

In 2007, the Firewomen will be entering their third year in the W-League.  The program directors are looking to continue to build and develop a team based on local talent that will consistently compete at the highest level of women’s soccer in the US.

The team plays in the Midwest division  under the Central Conference against such playoff teams such as the Michigan Hawks and the Minnesota Lightning.  Home games are played at Jenison High School & West Ottawa Soccer Complex.

Come join the Firewomen in 2007 as we look to make a run for the Conference title!
