About Premier

Premier begins at the u13 age group and is the highest level of play within the state of Michigan offered by the FIRE Program.  All premier teams play within the MSPSL (Michigan State Premier Soccer League) and play state wide against the best teams and players within Michigan.  This level of play looks to attract the highest level of soccer player in both skill and commitment.

The most experienced and highest licensed coaches work with the premier teams, either as head coaches or ‘pro’ coaches allocated to groups or individual teams.

Players will be selected to play premier based on their individual skills and potential development as a player.  It our coaching philosophy throughout the program to focus on individual player development over a win at all costs mentality.

All teams will train a minimum of two times per week based at Helder Park, the best training facility in West Michigan.  Helder Park site has several different sized fields, all floodlight enabling training to take part between 5.00PM and 9.00PM throughout the spring and fall seasons.

In addition to training and MSPSL games, premier teams will participate in a minimum of 2-3 tournaments per season.  Tournaments will be decided upon by each coach with the assistance of the FIRE Technical Staff and will vary in distance travelled.  The u15-u18 age groups will be participating in college showcase tournaments.

There are numerous additional training options and opportunities for our premier players during the year, some of these include:  Sport Performance Training & Injury Prevention, Nutrition and ACL Prevention Clinics, College Recruiting Seminars, and WMFJ Technical Skills Camps

u13 – u14 Premier The u13 & u14 teams participate in a year round program; the seasons will be Fall, Winter I, Winter II and Spring. These teams will play within the Michigan Premier League (MSPSL) and participate in the State Cup tournament as well as local, regional and national tournaments against the very best teams in the country.

U15+ (High School Age) All u15+ teams will play one season (Spring for Boys, Fall for Girls), but may begin training upon the finish of their HS seasons.  Teams will play in either the Michigan Premier League (MSPSL) or the Midwest Regional League (MRL).  They will participate in the State Cup tournament as well as local, regional and national College Showcase Tournaments.  Additional training will take place and may include Winter I and Winter II.
