The West Michigan Fire will be hosting Super Y Tryouts for the summer of 2009.  2008 saw the FIRE send another team to the Super Y National Finals for the second straight year in a row.  In addition to the accomplishments of the u13 girls at the National Finals, 14 players from the our Super Y teams were selected as candidates for the Super Y National ODP program.

Every player interested in participating in Super Y must fill out a PLAYER TRYOUT FORM to be turned in at tryouts.  If your son or daughter is unable to attend the above tryouts, please fill out the player tryout form, mail it to the FIRE Office.

Please arrive 30minutes prior to your tryout time in order to register and receive your tryout number.  Players MUST also fill out the Tryout Form and bring it to their tryout:    

• Ball
• Shin Guards
• INDOOR SHOES (Cornerstone is a gym floor...NO CLEATS or STUDS)
• Non-Club Clothing
• Player Tryouts Form (filled out)
• Copy of your Birth Certificate
• 2 Passport Size Headshot Photos

With the completion of the 10th Annual Super Y League National Finals two weekends ago, the 2008 season wraps up and individual player honors have been announced.  A congratulations goes out to the u13 girls WMFJ team coached by Courtney Nash and Brock West who recently competed in the National Finals in Tampa, FL.  As a result of their overall team performance and her individual performance, scoring all (3) of the team goals, Katie Hartnett (’95 WMFJ u13 girls) was selected to the
